A story of waterways
Housed in a warehouse at the heart of Gloucester’s fine Victorian docks, Gloucester Waterways Museum tells the story of our wonderful canals and rivers.
You can climb aboard historic boats, enjoy hands-on fun, watch archive films and browse galleries rich in canal heritage and stories. There’s loads for all the family to explore and enjoy.
Friday May 18: MUSEUMS AT NIGHT
Gloucester Waterways Museum participates in the national Museums at Night programme. Torchlight encounters with the workers and ruffians who lived, got drunk, and worked on the docks in 1881. Drama students from Gloucestershire College help to set the scene.
