WILD OVER WATERWAYS (CRAFTS)

We're all 'wild over waterways' at the Gloucester Waterways Museum.
This is a Waterways Trust initiative to get young people interested in the country's rivers and canals. use paper and card to make models of many of the inhabitants of the waterways - butterflies, birds, and - of course - boats.
All day, each day 17th to 19th.

SHARPNESS DOCKS, PAST AND PRESENT (TALK)

Gloucestershire’s only remaining working port, a fascinating history as told by local historian Dr Ray Wilson. The talk starts with the origins and construction of the docks, looks at the vessels and their cargoes and the buildings of the docks, and the social history of the area.
